The Nittany AI Machine Learning Bootcamp immerses Penn State students in the practical and theoretical aspects of machine learning (ML). This intensive program is open to students from all academic backgrounds, but basic Python experience is required.

The Bootcamp emphasizes the following technical skills:

  • Understanding key ML concepts such as neural networks, regression, and classification

  • Preparing data and training/evaluating AI models with PyTorch

  • Leveraging pre-trained models to create innovative solutions
