Skills Workshop - Vibe-a-Thon: Bring Your Prototype

Join the Nittany AI Student Society Leadership Academy for our Vibeathon! This hands-on event gives students the opportunity to bring their ideas to life by building and improving early-stage prototypes using AI tools.

Whether you're working toward the Nittany AI Challenge, developing a personal project, or just getting started with an idea, everyone is welcome! Teams will have time to build, experiment, and showcase their progress to a panel of Nittany AI executive board members for a chance to win prizes.

No completed product or advanced coding experience is required! We're looking for creativity, progress, and exciting ideas with potential.

Judging Criteria (20 Points Total)

• Creativity & Innovation (5 pts): How original or creative is the idea or proposed solution?

• Problem & Impact (5 pts): Does the project address a clear problem and offer a meaningful solution?

• Prototype & Functionality (5 pts): Does the team have something tangible to demonstrate, even if it's incomplete?

• Progress & Potential (5 pts): How much progress has the team made, and does the project have potential for further development?

Event Guidelines

• Open to all Penn State students, including those outside the Leadership Academy.

• Teams can bring existing projects or start something new.

• Prototypes do not need to be fully functional or polished.

• AI-assisted development tools are encouraged.

• Teams will briefly demonstrate their prototypes and explain their ideas.

• Projects will be evaluated by Nittany AI Student Society executive board members.

• Prizes will be awarded to standout teams.

Goal: Help students take the first steps toward building real AI-powered solutions while preparing interested teams for the Nittany AI Challenge.
